Smart ways to use talc
As dry shampoo: During summer, your hair tends to get more oily and greasy. Have to meet a friend for dinner post office? Get shampoo ready in your office by sprinkling talcum powder onto your comb and running it through your hair to the roots. They will not only look freshly washed, but also smell great.
To remove sand: If you are going on a beach holiday this summer, be sure to carry talcum powder. It easily helps remove sand that otherwise finds its way to your clothing, in your car and hotel room. Just sprinkle a bit of powder and you’ll be easily able to brush off all that messy sand.
To remove grease stains: The next time you get a grease stain on your tee, sprinkle some talcum powder onto a cotton ball and dab it on the stain. Rub the powder really well to lighten the stain.
To freshen up your closet: Closets and drawers often smell musty during summer. Take some talcum powder in a jar or dish and leave it in your closet or put some in a sachet and place it in your drawer. The moisture removing properties of talcum powder keep the cupboards smelling fresh.
To cool bedsheets: Sprinkle some talcum powder between your sheets a few minutes before you go to bed at night. It’s a great way to freshen up sheets that you haven’t had time to wash for a while.
